Today, we had a bit of clear out - not a big one, but every little bit helps! Holly decided to give away some of her toys and stuffies that she doesn't play with any more. Some of them she picked to give to her cousin, Owen, and others were donated to kids who don't have may toys. To help with the process, I told her we'd take a picture of the stuffies she was giving away, so she could remember them later.
Holly was so happy with the present Santa brought her, she wanted a picture taken - here she is with Barbie Mermaid, Merliah, and her dolphin friend, Zuma!
Christmas Day - our first in our newly renovated house - we put the tree in our family room.
The tree is great, but the top is slightly bendy with the angel on top!
Opening presents from Santa!
Holly and Daddy both look like their still half asleep!
Santa brought her a surprise present - she was already thinking ahead to next year and mentioned that she might ask for a nutcracker. Somehow he knew, and brought her one this year!
Lucky girl, Santa brough her what she wanted for Christmas!
And Uncle Tim gave her this great panda scarf.
We had Christmas dinner at our place this year.
And we played the Pass the Parcel game - a small present is wrapped in many layers of paper and within bigger boxes. We pass around a small box with dice and you need to roll double in order to get a chance to open the prize. Once you get doubles, you need to put on the reindeer ears and oven mitts in order to get started, then you can keep going until someone else rolls doubles. . . lots of fun!
My family recently took possession of a Whistler townhouse. My grandparents wanted the family to buy a vacation property with the money from their house. We decided to head up for a night to check it out.
We explored the Village, and went tubing at Blackcomb!
Paul's parents came over to celebrate an early Christmas with us. Brandon, Holly's cousin, came with them, and she was very excited to see him! Even though he is 3 years older than her, and he's a boy, they really play well together, and always have a great time!
We put together little Christmas gifts for each of Holly's classmates and she wanted to write all the tags by herself. Each person had to have a different picture - and she didn't need any help spelling any of her friends' names! Can you find the Christmas tree, the house and Santa?!
