Pierced ears!

Holly got her ears pierced today! She has been asking for a while and we planned the day with her friends, Cassie and Mackenzie. We went to Granville Island to a kids' salon that numbs their ears with emla cream and you come back an hour later for "painless" ear piercing. Apparently, it doesn't even hurt when the cream wears off! Amazing!

She picked the most expensive earrings, of course - she has great fashion sense! They did turn out pretty cute.

Santa: asleep on the job. . . I guess travelling around the world and delivering toys to about 2 billion children really takes it out of a person!

Float Plane

We decided to go on a float plane over to Victoria to see Paul's parents for Christmas. Holly and I got to sit behind the cockpit! It was a bit loud and Holly was a bit nervous, so there was a bit of crying on the flight. I was sitting beside her on the way there, and Paul sat across from us (there are two passengers seats on one side of the plane and only one on the other).


Of course, on the way back, she was completely fine sitting beside Paul - not nervous as all! In fact, I could hear laughing above the drone of the engines . . .    go figure!

Winter Concert

We had our school Winter Concert tonight. Holly played on the xylophone - a surprise to Mommy and Daddy. . .

Grandparents' Day

Today was a special day at school - our first ever Grandparents' Day! Poh-Poh came and also Ivy Yee-Poh. It was fun and they were surprised to see their pictures on the wall!

Today, Paul took down the trampoline for the winter, with Holly's help.
