Snow and Cake!

Today, we went . . .     SNOWBOARDING - of course! But, we took a silly-face girl, instead of Holly.


Later, we went out for dinner to celebrate my birthday.

Another fun day!

We spent another fun day up at Mount Seymour. It's Spring Break this week and next, so we plan to be here a lot - the Spring Pass was a super deal, and we are making the most of it!

More goofiness! Today, we all went up the mountain. Can't believe the snow up here - it's clear in Vancouver, with no traces of snow!

Our Goofy Girl - in more ways than one! She is the same as me, "goofy" foot in snowboarding terminology. We both board with our right foot forward. How do you find this out? Someone stands behind you and when you don't expect it, gives you a small push forward. The foot you step forward with is the one you should have at the front of your board!

Holly got her very own snowboard and boots today - the board is a Burton, very fancy and colourful! Here are shots of the top and bottom of the board . . .    someone is very happy and excited about the new board (besides me)!

Science Fair Day

Today was a beautiful day out, and Ms. Celis decided to take her class outside to eat lunch.

It also happened to be the Junior Science Fair presentation day.

Along with presenting their projects to parents, and other students at school, the Grade 1 class performed a song.


All the kids received a certificate for participating in the Science Fair.

100 Days Project

This is a little project Holly did for school to celebrate 100 days passing in the current school year. She used 100 pieces of Lego and made the number 100!

School Gala

Paul and I attended the Gala for Holly's school tonight. The theme this year was "It's a Love Thing" - here are some of our staff members:


Holly's teacher, Ms. Celis and her husband, Juan. I got caught up in the silent auction, dancing, etc and forgot to take more pictures! And I didn't even get a picture of me and Paul in our second-hand, groovy clothes!
