Circus School!

Sienna's mom, Ruby suggested the kids try the Vancouver Circus School - she booked us a private group lesson for Karl, Cassie, Holly, Sienna, Katie, and Mehr. They all had a great time. It looked like loads of fun and they even have adult classes . . .

Birthday Dinner

Tonight we went for dinner with my family (my mom, Bel, Elle, and Paolo, along with me, Holly and Paul) to celebrate my birthday. We went to Le Gavroche, which is the place where Paul proposed to me.

It was unplanned, but we went for dinner last night (Paul, Holly and I) - to Horizon's Restaurant, which is where we got married. It felt like we should be celebrating our anniversary instead of my birthday these last 2 nights!

Drops

So, if you haven't figured out what the posts in late January/early February were meant to be . . .   here is the drywall going up on the drops in the kitchen. These are above the cabinets that are coming - avoiding a dust trap and junk collector area (although I would have put teapots up there!).

Garden Class

Today we picked up Katie and went to the "Little Red Hen" class at Gardenworks. The kids planted quinoa and corn to take home. Afterwards, we went for lunch with Karl (another friend from school), and his mom, Jo-Ann. Holly got a new doll she has been wanting for a while - Jessie from Toy Story! Notice how she's prominently displayed in the pictures!

Chinese Ribbon & Fan Dancing

This is the first week of our Spring Break. On Monday and today, Holly went to a Chinese dance class at the local community centre. Today they did a little performance for parents.

St. Patrick's Day

After school today, we went to the Dublin Castle with some friends from school. The kids had at least 3 green milks and/or green ice creams each! There were Highland dancers for entertainment, and the girls had fun dancing, too.

First Science Fair

Holly participated in her first ever Science Fair! She helped present the findings of the class project about organic vs "regular" fruits and vegetables. They tested flavours, length of freshness, colour, size, etc.


All the kids also received Science Fair certificates!

Report Card Day

Today there was a Report Card Ceremony to hand out second term report cards.
