Cruise - Day 2

Today was spent at sea on our way up the coast of British Columbia. It was a bit rough overnight and we all felt a bit queasy this morning. Paul & I took some Gravol at 6:30am and went back to sleep - Holly was looking a bit pale at breakfast and felt better after she had some Gravol, too.

We walked around deck, looking at the scenery and then Holly spent some time at the kids' club (Club HAL - for Holland America Line). It's a great place - we went there after we had lunch yesterday and met the leaders. The club looks like so much fun and they have a different activity every day.

We stopped by our room before lunch and the room attendants had made our bed and left this very cute towel butterfly - Holly thought it was funny because it had eyes! It will be fun to see what other animals appear . . .

We also went for Dutch Afternoon Tea today. This was a lovely bouquet of flowers - all made from vegetables. One of the servers in the buffet line gave Holly the dark red one in the middle - it was made from a beet!

Tonight we had our first formal dinner - here are Paul's Dad & Mum, looking very spiffy . . .

. . . and a very cute little girl (with her mom), who even picked out her own dress.

After dinner, we went to the live show they have every night and then went to change. We took a walk around Deck 3 before heading to bed. The scenery along the way tonight . . .

Relaxed, but cold . . .

Walking around this deck 3 1/2 times is equivalent to walking 1 mile. Holly went around 3 times before bed - I think she'll sleep well!
