After breakfast, I took Holly to Club HAL, but she wouldn't stay. She only seems to act up with me (even at home) - Paul never has a problem dropping her at school, classes, etc.
We found a manta ray in our bedroom this morning!
Later we went on the Galley tour and saw some ice carving action . . .
. . . and some amazing bread sculptures! Holly was even given a chef's hat by the head chef to take home.
After the tour, we went to find Paul at the gym and headed up to the top deck to relax in the sun before lunch . . . someone was pretending to be asleep!
And Nana & Grand-dad came up here, too!
Juneau, Alaska
On the "shopping" strip . . .
Nana & Grand-dad took us on the tram to the top of Mt. Roberts . . .
We had fun exploring the trails and finding these cool carved trees . . .
The view was amazing at the top - and it was hot, too! Everyone up there had taken off their jackets and sweaters and were walking around in short-sleeved t-shirts!
An injured eagle that has been living at the top of Mt. Roberts for a few years . . .
We could see our ship from the tram!
Back in downtown Juneau . . . wildlife runs amock here! See the little monkey beside the bear?!
Holly and Teguh, our waiter - he makes amazing Origami animals!
Paul's Mum & Dad got their "anniversary" cake tonight - when I booked the cruise, I was asked if we were celebrating any special occasion . . . much to Nana & Grand-dad's chagrin!
Back to Juneau for a walk after dinner . . .
The Alaska Governor's mansion - built in 1913 at a cost of $40,000.00!
Alaska State Capitol Building.
Alaska's Replica Liberty Bell - beside the Capitol Building.
Holly & Patsy Ann. This statue is dedicated to a dog that lived in the 1930's and used to head to the docks when a ship was coming. She was deaf from birth, but somehow knew when ships were approaching and would head for the wharf every time!
