Crystal Cove State Park

This morning, we went with Jim and Kris to the Beachcomber Cafe for breakfast. It's located at Crystal Cove State Park Historic District. The cottages here were originally built in the 1930's and 1940's. The State of California is slowly restoring the cottages and one section is available for rentals.

Here is more information on the park:  http://www.crystalcovebeachcottages.com/html/

This is the Beachcomber Cafe.

The last house on the far end of the beach was used to film the movie, "Beaches".

The inside definitely wasn't used, though - the ceilings are very low!

Holly enjoyed snapping pictures of the different cottages on display. . .
To get from the parking lot to the beach, you need to walk down a pathway, and then through this tunnel - there is a lot of cool art work on the walls!
